Carry-On Craft

Are you a bird? No, you're a plane!

:) Hey everyone. Today I'm bringing back an old favorite. I originally made my Carry-On Craft in just one color for Project Themeory. I have now revamped it and added 5 more colors for a proper injection of travel cute! The Carry-On Craft is the logical solution to today's transportation issues. It's a bright, playful airplane costume that fits snugly around the body. An optional holding pose is included so that you may rest your arms on the aircraft's wings. The plane's blades also spin when commanded. Driving is surely a thing of the past. You have now become your own form of transportation!

Sales poster :D

All available colors. My personal favorites are probably pink and red. The fatpack is, as always, color scripted for your convenience. I even did some (by my standards) fancy scripting, because I wanted to control what the shadows looked like both when blade spinning was on and off.

View of the wings. The Themeory version of the Carry-On Craft didn't allow you to turn the holding pose off, but this full product release does. I thought it might be useful for photo purposes. You guys have posted some super cute pics of the Themeory edition! I'd love to see more.

Close-up of the engine base. Please note that mesh was used to make the blades spin. (My first use of mesh by the way, woot!) If you want to turn on blade rotation, you need a mesh enabled viewer. The latest official SL viewer supports mesh, but some third party viewers may not yet. If you don't need the blades to spin, any viewer will work. This airplane is modifiable and can be altered like any other modifiable SL object.

There we are. You can pick up the Carry-On Craft at my mainstore and through the SL Marketplace. Individual colors are priced at L$225, the fatpack is L$675.

P.S.: Flickr winner! I really liked this collage posted by Flickr user Lindsay Rozen, which features my Ducky Adoption Cart. I will be sending this customer a free Carry-On Craft fatpack as a prize. Please keep your pics coming. One of the most rewarding things about being an SL creator is that I get to see how you guys wear my items.

Vintage Alarm Clock

Time is ticking by in good old fashioned style!

:) Hey everyone. I have another wonderfully nostalgic product release for you today. My Vintage Alarm Clock is detailed, colorful and fully functional. You can set it to your local time and add an alarm with email or IM notification. Ticking and alarm sounds are optional. Each purchase includes both a high and low prim version of the product.

Sales poster ^^

All available colors. My personal favorites are silver and blue. I don't usually do silver or white versions of my products, but I thought in this case it was kind of mandatory. While making this clock I also discovered some new color combinations that I hadn't considered previously. I particularly like the combination of the red clock with the green face. (I should have figured these colors would compliment each other, as they're opposite on the color wheel.)

The back of the clock. I actually borrowed a real vintage alarm clock to see what all the switches are supposed to do, because I honestly couldn't tell from pictures I found on the Internet. The way I ended up arranging everything isn't completely true to life, but I prefer this configuration. As mentioned above, each clock color includes both a high and low prim version. The low version is 15 prims and doesn't come with the switches on the back.

The face of the clock. I added a tiny handwritten "AnnaMayaHouse" right over the base of the hands. I thought it looked cute, and it's a nice personal touch :)

That's all! The Vintage Alarm Clock is now available through my mainstore as well as the SL Marketplace. On the SL Marketplace you can also download the pdf manual. One clock color is L$250, the fatpack is priced at L$750.

Vintage Alarm Clock on the SL Marketplace: black | blue | gold | pink | red | silver | fatpack

P.S.: Flickr winners! I've chosen three people who've added pics to the store Flickr pool to receive a box of goodies. I loved this pic by Flickr member destinyP. The use of shadows is wonderful and it was lovely seeing one of my items in a fashion spread. The second pic I chose is this one by jjjulia pearl. It's so fun and cheery and instantly put a smile on my face. Lastly I chose this pic by Strawberry Twig. It's downright adorable!

I will contact you guys personally and send you your prize. Your goodie box will contain a Vintage Alarm Clock fatpack and some other, wearable items from the store. I hope you'll enjoy! And thank you to everyone else as well for submitting pics. I love seeing what you come up with.

Darla the Bee

Bz z Zz Bzz... She's a bee, deciding on lunch!

Heya everyone. I've made a new, wearable pet that I hope you'll enjoy. Darla is a cute, colorful bee whose jar for homemade honey is running on empty. She's hoping an elaborate map will lead her to that sweet, sweet treasure: golden flowers overflowing with nectar. Darla comes in 6 colors: brown, dark blue, light blue, pink, purple and yellow. She blinks and resides on 3 attachment points.

Sales poster :D

All the available colors. Yellow was the first I designed and I figured this would be my favorite because it's "traditional". Now that they're all done though, I'm feeling the love for the funkier color schemes. Light blue I think looks particularly nice. As always, the color fatpack is scripted for your convenience. Oh, and why the name Darla? I don't know to be honest. It popped into my head quite early on in this project. I think it might've stuck with me from watching Finding Nemo. (The evil little girl in the movie is called Darla.)

Looking over Darla's shoulder at the treasure map. I designed and drew this map from scratch, which was a labor of love. It was important to me that it looked somewhat realistic, like this bee could truly have some use for it. The level of detail in the map makes the overall product cuter and more fun, I hope.

Close-up shots of Darla's honey jar. It says "honey" on one side and "homemade" on the other. I'm very happy with how the lighting on this product turned out. It's the first release to use an entirely new lighting setup, which creates a softer, more natural atmosphere. I will be fine-tuning this rig going forward.

:) That's everything about Darla. She can be found in my mainstore and on the SL Marketplace. One color is L$350, the fatpack is L$1,050.

Darla the Bee on the SL Marketplace: brown | dark blue | light blue | pink | purple | yellow | fatpack

P.S.: Flickr winner! I have chosen one customer, who has submitted a pic since my last giveaway, to receive a Darla fatpack for free. I really liked this image by Chips Morrisey. The colors and composition are wonderful and the overall image feels very dreamy. I will contact this customer personally to send her her prize. And thank you to everyone else who submitted pics as well. I will be doing more giveaways in the future. Anyone who wants to submit something to the store group can do so here :)

Stitchy Outline Bag

Colorful, cute and fun! This sweet little shoulder bag will make you feel like a true lady.

After a long, school-induced hiatus I am finally back with a new release: my Stitchy Outline Bag. I originally made this bag for Mailman Iggy, but I quickly decided that I wanted to carry it around as well. I actually came up with the name first, which made me realize how I should rework the bag. I needed more colors obviously, but I also wanted each bag to have a distinct personal touch. After much recoloring and pattern picking here it finally is!

(Also: read on for new Flickr winners. I have chosen two people, who have submitted photos since the last giveaway, to receive the new release for free.)

Sales poster for my Stitchy Outline Bag :)

All the different colors: blue, brown, green, purple, red and yellow. Each color includes two versions, one with and one without the pattern on the flap. I personally prefer blue and green. Ironically, blue was the color I felt the least sure about, because I didn't feel I could make the waves look nice enough. In the end I think they turned out quite lovely and cute. The green bag I love because it instantly reminds me of Ireland, which I've visited countless times. (Beautiful country!)

Me wearing the bag. The holding pose is optional and can be turned on or off through the bag's menu. I usually leave it on, perhaps because it would be a shame not to after all the fiddling that went into creating it. It's impossible to make poses that fit every avatar shape, so I had to find a happy medium that would work for both tall and short residents.

Close up of the front lock. I like how it catches the light, as this makes the shadows pop. I took extra care in sculpting the shoulder strap, to make it fit around the body as naturally as possible.

There we are =^.^=

Individual colors of my Stitchy Outline Bag are priced at L$250 each, the fatpack is L$750. It's now available at my mainstore and on the new SL Marketplace.

And now: Flickr winners! The first pic I chose is this one by Summer Wardhani. I love the sky and how colorful the overall photo is. It feels very surreal somehow. Second pic I chose is this one by Eliza Janus. It made me chuckle so hard. I will contact you guys personally and send you your prize. I also want to thank everyone else who has submitted photos. A very special thank you to Newreem Waffle, Azure Electricteeth and Callia Pearl for the wonderful photo shoot they did with my Mail Snail. I very much enjoyed all your pics.

Mailman Iggy

He's a snail, on a mission!

I made another Iggy that I hope you guys will like. He may not be the most efficient mailman, but he prides himself on being the cutest. As with previous releases, Mailman Iggy comes in 6 colors: dark blue, green, light blue, pink, purple and red. There are also two versions: a non-scripted, pet version and a scripted, functional mailbox version. Initially I was just going to release him scripted, because I wanted that mailbox for myself as well, but then I figured some might enjoy him as a pet.

Read on by the way for my first ever Flickr winners! Two people who submitted their photos to the store pool will be receiving a fatpack of their choice for free.

Sales poster for Mailman Iggy :)

All the different colors. I can't really pick a favorite here. I wanted there to be as many 'traditional' looking mailbags as colorful ones, and I quite like both now.

Close up of the mailbag. The shadowing turned out rather nice I think. I might release this bag separately in other colors and with different stitching on the flap, but I'm not sure if it needs more detail. Could be cute though, and I've never really made a bag before.

Sales poster for Mail Snail :)

I'm using a different name for this scripted version to avoid confusion, but as you can see it's the same as Mailman Iggy sculpt-wise, bar a few prims.

So what does Mail Snail do? Mail Snail is a fully functional mailbox. People can drop their notecards onto your Mail Snail, after which they'll see a letter fall in the mailbag and a line in chat indicating their message has been sent. (The note hanging from the mailbag tells people how to use the mailbox. If they click on the mailbox, they'll also see a more detailed explanation in chat.) When notes have been sent, you will be notified through email and/or IM. You can then retrieve the messages from the mailbox by left clicking and choosing "fetch messages" from the blue popup menu. The notes will be transferred to your inventory in a dated folder.

There are 5 possible textures for the explanatory note on the mailbag, accessed through the blue popup menu. The lines Mail Snail pastes in chat are customizable. You can also choose whether or not to display floating text over the mailbox, indicating the number of messages received.

That's all there is to know I think. If you have more questions about this product, feel free to contact me :)

Below, the 6 available colors. Just adding this pic so you can see the notes. Apart those and the letter, these colors are the same as in Mailman Iggy of course.

There we go =^.^=

Mailman Iggy is L$225 for one color, L$675 for the fatpack. Mail Snail is L$300 for one color, L$900 for the fatpack. They're both available in my mainstore and on Xstreet.

And now: Flickr winners! I made a Flickr pool for the store a while back and I love the pics you guys have been submitting. I chose two that have been added since the release of Iggy the Snail to receive a special prize.

The first is this one by Flickr user newnewpon. I really like this outfit and her use of my Burger Vision Belt. Second pic is this one by Flickr user Dyn@Mite2009. Very cute and funny photo! I will contact you guys personally about claiming your prize. And thank you to everyone else who submitted photos as well! There were lots of cool and original entries. I'd love to see more, and I'll be selecting more winners in the future :)

A Cup of Cute

Phew, it's been a while since my last post. School got in the way as usual, but I'm getting ready to release a pair of shoes that I'm very excited about. They're gonna be ... different, of course. However, I really wanted to release something before then and I'd made this little bow for the shoes that I thought would work well on its own.

There's lots of bows out there already, I know, but this is my own take on it and it turned out nice, if I do say so myself. I spent a lot of time on the textures, which I hope has paid off. The Little Bow of Cute comes in 10 delicious flavors, L$60 each, with permissions mod and copy. You can also pick up the fat pack, which includes all colors at a 50% discount, in separates and in one handy texture scripted bow as well. Gabriel Watanabe graciously provided the necessary scripting power :o

And with these bows I've officially run out of space at my mainstore. It's time to move to my own parcel and I will, very soon. I'm working on a store building and will hopefully be at my new place within two weeks. Announcements about the location will follow here and in my update group, which is now set up. (Non-SL group, there's a sign to join at my mainstore.)

Speaking of which: I have sent a Little Bow of Cute fat pack to one subscriber. This time the lucky winner is Vasean Talamasca. Congratulations! Hope you like them. I'll give away more stuff and to more people in the future, but the group has to grow a bit still.

That's all from me! Pick up your favorite bows today at my mainstore, my store at the Summer sim or on Xstreet.

P.S.: I was very sad to see OnRez go. I personally always preferred it to Xstreet/SLX and made more sales there as well, because I could advertise at nice rates. I'm not optimistic about Linden Lab getting a monopoly in this market and seriously doubt any good will come of it. But let's hope I am wrong (like many others thinking the same).

Summer and Halloween

If you love particles, you should know Summer Seale. I'm not talking about obnoxious bling you see at clubs, but beautiful and intricate particles. Summer really is the particle queen and she recently opened her own sim which is just downright gorgeous. I'm honored she offered me a spot there.

The sim is a haven for fairies: magical, cute and filled to the brim with awesome sculpts, most of which Summer herself created.

Sim landing point. Just to give an idea of the goodies. You have to see this place for yourself. Pics can't do it justice.

My mushroom. I got to pick a color, so I went with the purple cap of course. Cutesy colors yay! I so love this little store. It's adorable, I love spending time here.

I'm sure it's not just me, but I get fired up over stuff like this. With this new store in mind, I felt inspired to finally do something for Halloween and perhaps, maybe, yes ... make it free. I've been totally lazy on the freebie front, about time that changed. I'm very grateful to everyone who has bought from me or stopped by my store.

The idea I went with isn't that original of course, as a Halloween freebie, but it all comes down to execution I thought. Wicked Witch Wendy (I hope) turned out sweet and fun. She blinks and her broom leaves a trail of particles (thanks to Summer!). She can be worn on your shoulder, attached to a scarf or as a spinning pet. I made two color options as well: a more classic Halloween look and a colorful pink and purple look. The first can be found at my main store in Linji, the second at my new mushroom store. Both of them will be available until November 1st, after which I'll take them back into my invent, for a year probably.

I hope this will introduce more people to Summer's sim. It deserves all the visitors it can get. Plus, making this was really fun. I think I'll do something for Christmas too, but maybe by then more specifically for customers or store subscribers. Just gotta poke a certain someone to put an update system in place :P

Anyways, happy Halloween everyone!
Grab these little witches before they disappear =^.^=
